One itinerary for the visiting ministers, one link for the congregation.

Setting it up

  1. Open Revivals and click New revival. Enter the date range, the evening service time, the Sunday morning service time, and how many minutes of quiet time the ministers get before each service. Every evening in the range gets a service and a protected quiet block automatically.
  2. Add the visiting ministers. Each minister is entered with his own checkboxes for whether he needs lodging and transportation. A minister from nearby who sleeps at home is never asked about either, and the congregation is never asked to offer them for him.
  3. Note the travel. Airport and arrival notes live on the event; pickup and return are entered as transport items with the driver's name and flight details.
  4. Share the one link. Click Copy share link and send it to the congregation. That single page is the published calendar plus three buttons: Host a meal, Request a visit, and Offer lodging.

Working it day by day

The scheduler console shows the itinerary one day at a time: services, quiet blocks, meals, visits, lodging, and transport, each as its own item. Requests from families arrive marked Tentative; adjust the time if the distances demand it, then Confirm. Every booking page already told the family that times may be adjusted.

Families ask for what they actually want: a visit over a meal in their home, or after the evening service. A confirmed combination shows as one block at their address.

Young people's days: the Plan a young people's day panel takes the day, a start time, session and buffer minutes, who the day is for, the chaperoning couple, and the names pasted one per line. Schedule the day builds the ladder of sessions, and the names drag into whatever order the calls settle on.

The published calendar: the congregation sees the same schedule at the share link, and the Print schedule view replaces the photographed calendar on the foyer wall. When the meetings end, close the public links; the event stays on file, and Use as template starts next year from this year's shape.

Adjusted a family's time? The published calendar is the source of truth, and in most congregations the scheduler's phone call is still the courtesy. There are no automatic notifications on congregation accounts, on purpose.
